Semillon
Semillon is celebrated around the world as the great Hunter Valley wine, but it is also known as the white wine of the Barossa. It can be wooded or unwooded, although the trend is away from oak. Herbaceous, with tangy lemon notes and fine fresh acidity, Semillon has great appeal.
Semillon, particularly a lighter Hunter, is a great lunch wine and is ideal with seafood or poultry and salad. It's also used for dessert wines such as Noble One, going extremely well with blue cheese.
